In a blockbuster deal which was finalized just a couple minutes ago, Monteal picked up feared power hitter Valerio Pizzaro.Montreal acquired Pizzaro and 3B Hector Castillo, in exchange for SP Ramon Martin and LF Rafael Cruz. Albuquerque's need for pitching, along with Montreal's need for offense, is what fueled the energy to get the deal done.
This is the second deal of what could be many in this offseason for the Dukes, who made a vow to improve the team from last year's last place finish in the AL West.
