The new season has started in Doubleday, Across the Doubleday world fans have lined up outside the ballparks in hopes to get autographs from their favorite players. Tickets are being sold out and the owners of the teams are finally breathing a sigh of relief that they made it through Spring Training and the offseason without any major issues. Just to acknowledge a few of the new owners that have bought teams that were for sale during the offseason.
The former Boise franchise was moved to Anaheim after being purchased by Mr. Percival. Mr. Percival was fan of Boise when they were in Vancouver two seasons ago and he followed them as they went to Boise. When he heard there was a chance to own them he jumped on it.
Jackson, Formerly known as the San Juan Senators was acquired by Mr. Carn. Mr. Carn has managed a championship team in another league. He plans on making this team a champion as well. He is making long term plans for the team and from what I understand the Commish is happy with him taking over that franchise.
New York, After having two terrible seasons in a row JT3 has bought the team. He did not move it out of New York instead he just changed the team name. Mr. JT has done some serious changes to the team and made some much needed promotions. New York may just have a shot at not finishing in the basement this season.
Former KC Blues team now moved to Salt Lake City by Mr. Carpediem is already showing some signs of life in the early stages of the season under his command. Signing Free Agent RF Elster during the offseason was only one of many good moves he has done. One of the better moves he did was trade for RP Cy Alexander from San Francisco. We will see how his ownership helps this team over the upcoming weeks.
Three time championship owner Mr. Mehl has acquired the Toronto franchise. That team was already in the top four best AL teams last season and should only get better with his experience.
San Francisco was claimed by Mr. Mele316, Although Mr. Mele is a new owner to the baseball world. He has managed to claim 23 conference championships for his Gridiron teams that he has managed. His dedication to San Francisco and ability to learn things fast should be a big help to this team. We will monitor his progress.
Mr. Reggiedeal acquired Houston and moved the team back to Monterrey. After two pretty rough seasons can Reggie get this team to the playoffs? or will he fall short just like the owners in the past?
Mr. T. Stiffs has his hands full trying to take the division title from Louisville. Out of that division Wichita would have the best shot at doing that. tons of trades went down with Mr. Stiffs taking over, will the new talent turn into wins? We will have to wait and see.
Other News....
Durham's first game they blew the doors off Pittsburgh and have everyone paying very close attention.
San Francisco's Free Agent signing, Gene Hancock has been placed on the 60 day DL for a bulging disc. Thank God it was only a one year deal..
Boston Owner, Keosawa was seen getting hammered at a downtown Boston establishment after losing to Philly. He was quoted as saying "Only two games in but why can't we score more runs?" I would imagine after acquiring guys like Navarro and Parrish only to put up 3-4 runs in a game would be a little depressing. We feel for ya Keosawa.. Now in 40 games we will ask you what you think then.
Last but not least.. Who will get Omaha to trade Albert Wall? I know people are out there trying to get him, I am just wondering who is actually going to offer up a deal that can't be refused.
More to come in the next week or so.......
