A Bevy of Trades Caps a Busy Post-All-Star Break - Langston on the Move

Promises have been kept by numerous ball clubs who said they'd be either buyers and sellers before the trading deadline, and the player carousel continues as Double Day proves to be perhaps the last recession-proof haven.

Staff ace Graham Langston's short tenure with the Tampa Bay Seminoles is now officially over. Sources have indicated that Langston will be moved to the San Diego Electrics, who made headlines recently with a promise to attempt to win their division this season and make the playoffs.

In just seven starts, Langston went 1-5 with the Seminoles and posted what is for the 29-year-old a relatively high ERA.

As the Seminoles dropped out of contention for a Wild Card spot, they soured on Langston's lackluster start, and the team has been quietly shopping the starter for some time now as part of its fire sale.

Langston moves to a San Diego Electrics club that has already made headlines with statements made by GM grab46 that the franchise will do its best to try to win the division this season. Langston represents a step in the right direction for the wayward Electrics, who are 10 games out of first place in the NL West and face an uphill climb.

Langston has been described by many scouts as a power pitcher who feasts on National League lineups with perhaps the best fastball in Double Day. Last season, he went 13-5 and boasted a 1.96 ERA, one of the few starters in Double Day to take home a sub-2.00 ERA in season two.
