Throwing a no-hitter is rare and considered an extraordinary accomplishment for a pitcher or pitching staff... In this case we have 4 Pitchers to do it this season.. The highest # of no hitters thrown in a single season in MLB is 8. Their teams should be very proud to have them on the team.

Starting this season with the first no-hitter was Pedro Beltran of Ottawa defeating Honolulu 5-0. During that game he walked 2 and struck out 6.

The second no-hitter was Jorge Beltre of Philly. He no hit Montreal and Philly won 10-0. During that game Beltre walked 3 and struck out 1.

The third no-hitter came from Blake Jodie of St.Louis. He also threw his no hitter against Montreal. St. Louis won that game 12-0, during that game Jodie walked 1 and struck out 2.

The Fourth no-hitter was done by Paul Park of Philly making this the 2nd no hitter thrown by Philly this season. Park no hit Kansas City and during the no hitter Park walked 1 and struck out 10.

We have had 2 big things happen in these no hitters.. We've had 1 team be no hit 2 times and we've had 1 team throw 2 no hitters this season. We still have enough time to be able to have more and I certainly wouldn't rule it out. Doubleday has been becoming known for surprises.
