Philly loses Sandberg for the season!
In a game vs. Baltimore on the 29th of April, Homer Sandberg was injured. Sandberg, probably one of the best lead off hitters in the world's history ends his season with a herniated disk. This is a huge blow to Philly's offense, Sandberg's season ends with him having a total of 71 SB's .289 BA and 72 runs scored. We have been informed Sandberg will not lose any speed when he returns but that is yet to be seen with him being over 30 years old and on the back end of his career.
