NL North: Season Preview

DOUBLEDAY DAILY

When talking about this upcoming season everyone is getting excited. A lot of changes happened during this offseason but only 1 owner was fired. One of the main changes recently is the Cleveland Captains were bought out by someone flashing around a ton of cash. Douglaslee, spent an undisclosed amount of money to get the Cleveland franchise from Turbohawk.Let the re-build begin... With that being said let's get on with the NL North review.

Ottawa Great Lake St.: Coming off a 97-65 season, Led by SP Pedro Beltran Ottawa seems to be the front runner again. They managed to come to an agreement with SP D'Angelo Telemaco to return but refused to sign him to a long term deal. This season should be relatively easy for them I pick them to win the division.

Detroit Wolverines: Detroit had the worst season in franchise history in season 3. Some say the owner is biding his time and developing the key players that the organization will need to succeed in the future. 1B Wesley Smith is the teams main offensive threat while they have some other guys that could potentially be difference makers this season. LRP David Baez could be very good at keeping the team ahead. He worked on his control during the offseason so I look for him to be very very good. Detroit is a team on the rise but I feel they are lacking a few pieces.

Chicago Whales: Early this season it was rumored Chicago was having a fire sale.. Yet the main players on the team are still there. CF Damian Wang, SS Paul McNamara and C Derek McDermott have not been moved. So, this season could go either way.. Chicago could end up sending those guys to new homes for some younger talent or they can keep what they have and try to bring up some talent by utilizing the draft and International Free Agency.. Either way I feel this is the only team that can compete with Ottawa.
