The AL East is loaded with talent from what I see. First, you have the AL Champs Boston. Boston still has Jocko Sexson and Philip Parrish. But they lost Navarro when they dealt him to the World Series champions, Durham for BJ Crane, Magglio Blanco and a stud prospect. On paper they could be the best team hands down in the AL ... Boston is seen by most as the top pick in this division this season. My prediction is that they could finish first but then again anything can happen in the AL East.
Baltimore Lords(2-3): Led by Winston Ripken, Baltimore only managed to pull off 1 win in the first series againt Philly. However they pulled it together today to beat Boston so far. Right now the star on the team is Homer Vance, Vance has 2 HR's with 7 Rbi's in the first 5 games. Baltimore is a strong team this season and are only going to get stronger as the season goes on.
Philadelphia Stars(3-2): Sitting at 3-2, Phillly has came out like they did in season 2. Philly being one of the more consistent teams in the world continues to do their thing. So far slugger, Valerio Pizarro has been quiet but I'm sure that won't last long. Look for Philly to be a threat this season.
New York Highlanders(2-3): New York is a wild card among this division.Relatively quiet but they have the personnel that could pull off some upsets. Robinson Dreifort (SP) took the first loss of his season but again, the season is still young. If Dreifort along with the other guys on that rotation pick it up they will be something to fear.
