AL West: Season Preview

Albuquerque Dukes: What can be said about this team that hasn't already been said? Last season AL favorites fell short in the ALCS to Boston.. This season making the right moves and being in probably one of the weaker divisions certainly will be beneficial to them. They have so far started out with an undefeated 7-0 record after facing San Francisco and Anaheim. Can they keep this trend up against a few of the upcoming tougher teams they face? Phillip Maxwell so far has been quiet same can be said for ML batting champ, Spike Logan yet they still are putting up enough offense to win. I think they are the top guys in the AL at the moment and probably for the rest of the season.

Colorado Grizzlies: 5-3 in the first 8 games to start season 4, after a very miserable season 3 Colorado hopes to stay in the hunt and possibly be the ones to take down the Juggernaut known as Albuquerque. Blade Stevenson is already starting the season leading his team with 3 Hr's and 7 Rbi's while Houston Henry is also showing some power. The are still in need of some top of the line Pitchers however Colorado could still be a team to beat this season.

Anaheim Robins: Well... Starting off as many of us have predicted 1-7 may not be as bad as you think. They played the best team currently in the ML in the first 4 games.. They have a team batting average of .218 and have scored 23 runs while allowing the opposition to hit .285 and score 40.. This team is in desperate need of fresh young talent in the farm so they can start building for the future. It can be done, let's just see if Owner Percival will make it a reality. Fans in Anaheim have faith.

San Francisco: Probably one of the slowest starts by a team that has a pretty good foundation. The pitching isn't clicking and the bats just aren't producing. I still see these guys as a potential wild card threat.
