The Mile long drop....

The Colorado Franchise has seen better days... Season 1 Colorado went 95-67 and won the division.. Since then they have went a total of 154-170 over 2 seasons. 4th place finish in season 2 and 2nd in season 3.. This season it hasn't been any better since they have a 7-19 record and probably the worst pitching staff in the ML. Where to go from here?

So far they have traded the newly acquired RF, Jay Weston to Albuquerque for 3 players. LF Randall Daly, CF Rogers Womack and LR Matty Perez. The other trade they made sent SP John Ray and LR/SP Luther Alexander to Montreal for Rookie Catcher sensation Darren Broome and AAA Free Agent signing SP Tony Hukata. Out of the 2 deals they gained 3 pretty good bats, 1 decent SP and somewhat ok Long reliever. I would call that a win.. The question is who else is going to be leaving Colorado?

Luis Picasso- 20mil that ends after season 5 but the man can still play. Him going to any team would boost the offense but who can actually afford him?

Eugene Fogg- Fogg is a pretty good hitter with a pretty high price tag as well but it also ends after season 5.

Those 2 would probably be my best guess on anyone inquiring... Will Colorado continue to deal off the aging players on the team? Will anyone else even show interest? If I were some of the teams trying to win right now I'd seriously consider finding some key players to keep yourself competitive.
