The biggest surprise of the AL East is the Philadelphia Stars! They have completely dominated the division in the last week. 2B Bob Maas and C Rondell Wilson have been on fire as of late. With the new division leader one can only ask this question. Is Boston falling apart?
Baltimore Lords.. The new ownership of the team is pretty much the only thing I can say happened to this team. Having a knowledgeable owner is the reason this team is a contender this season. It doesn't hurt when you have a pitcher like Ralph McMichael on your team. Baltimore has a legit shot at making the playoffs.. If they can only hold of Boston that can be a reality.
Boston, third place and 3 games out.. After winning the ALCS last season this team looked to be stronger then anyone could imagine. Since trading off 2 star players they have struggled to even keep themselves around .500. Something needs to turn around or they may find themselves being passed up by New York.
New York started the season out pretty strong but recently have found themselves falling behind. New York is still in rebuild mode and in a season or 2 they could be a playoff contender.. I just don't think it will be this year..
