The AL South is still trying to figure out who the best team is.. With Huntington and San Juan tied it's anyone's division at this point. Huntington won 82 games last year and this year they seem to be on pace to win a little more.Led by RF Erv Hines, Huntington continues to be a pain in everyone's side.
San Juan, a team that NOBODY would've expected to see tied for the division after 50 games have been played. With the addition of DH/C Nicholas McGee and SP Roy Sparks the face of this team seems to have changed for the better.
El Paso Sun Kings, last season missed the playoffs and were a few games under .500.. This year they are struggling as they rebuild. Everyone pretty much expected them to be in this position when the new ownership declared a rebuild. Guys like CF Barry Quinn need to step up or this team will fall to the bottom of the basement and not show anyone any type of improvement.
Now we will talk about last place St. Louis...St. Louis was a front runner last year but this year it seems they are getting it handed to them from all sides...Carlos Santana leads the team in HRs but only has a .213 batting average...Pitcher, Bobby Ray Bellhorn has 7 wins and 4 losses but the rest of the pitching staff is playing way below skill level. Let's hope that St. Louis can turn things around.
